Mahi Mahi Gyotaku Reproduction – Limited Edition Fish Art Print – Acrylic Ink on Archival Mulberry Paper – Signed & Numbered
This is a limited edition reproduction of an original Mahi Mahi Gyotaku print, created using acrylic ink on traditional Thai Mulberry paper. The eye is carefully hand-painted with acrylics to capture the lifelike vibrance of this iconic pelagic species.
The original fish was caught off the coast of Key West, Florida, and its essence has been preserved through the traditional Japanese art of Gyotaku. These reproductions are printed using Giclée technology with premium archival inks and paper, ensuring exceptional detail and lasting quality. Each print is made to order, hand signed, numbered, and stamped with my personal Japanese Hanko (name seal) for authenticity.
If you’re looking for an original, want a custom size, or have a special request, feel free to reach out—custom orders are welcome!
Gyotaku (魚拓) originated in Japan in the 1800s as a way for fishermen to record their catches. Today, it lives on as a powerful and beautiful art form, combining nature, tradition, and storytelling in one-of-a-kind works.
