This is a handmade Gyotaku (魚拓) print of an American Red Snapper tail, created from a 31" snapper using traditional Japanese fish printing techniques. The print was made with acrylic ink on authentic Thai Mulberry paper, capturing the intricate texture and detail of this iconic saltwater species.

This original piece is hand signed and sealed with my Japanese Hanko (name stamp), a personal touch of authenticity that makes each print unique.

Gyotaku is a traditional Japanese method of fish printing, originally developed in the mid-1800s as a way for fishermen to commemorate their most memorable catches. Today, it’s celebrated as a striking form of art that blends nature and tradition—perfect for adding coastal character to your space.
