African Pompano Gyotaku Reproduction – Limited Edition Fish Print – Signed, Numbered & Stamped – Available With or Without Streamers

$130.00

This is a limited edition reproduction of an original Gyotaku (魚拓) fish print of an African Pompano, created using acrylic paint on traditional Thai Mulberry paper. The eye is carefully hand-painted with acrylic to closely mimic the vibrant look of the real fish.

This 40" African Pompano was harvested during a spearfishing tournament by Steve, who requested the iconic streamer fins be added to the artwork. The original measured 30"x50" and this listing includes the option to order the reproduction with or without the streamers, depending on your style preference.

These reprints are made using museum-quality Giclée printers with the highest-grade archival paper and pigments, ensuring the artwork remains vivid for generations. Each print is made to order, hand signed, numbered, and sealed with my Japanese Hanko (name stamp).

Gyotaku is a traditional Japanese art form dating back to the mid-1800s, originally used by fishermen to document their greatest catches. Today, it is a stunning and meaningful way to celebrate a connection with the ocean and your adventures on the water.
